Seymour Taylor in the UK, announces prestigious ESGmark® certification

MGI Worldwide member firm Seymour Taylor, based in high Wycombe, UK, is proud to announce that it has been awarded the prestigious ESGmark® certification. Having been introduced to ESGmark® in 2021 at the UK & Ireland Conference, the firm then went through a rigorous assessment process in which it demonstrated a high level of performance against Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles and an ongoing commitment to positive change.

Some of the areas that were evaluated as part of the process were: carbon emissions, energy consumption and usage, equal opportunity policies and procedures, employee wellbeing, recycling policy, products used within the business, and community projects.

ESGmark® is a symbol of trust and distinction, and a community for like minded businesses - a community to which the MGI Worldwide network also belongs, having been gained the accreditation in December 2021, when it became the first global accounting network to be awarded the ESGmark^® certification.

What is ESGmark® certification?

Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) is an increasingly relevant topic. In 2015, the United Nations published the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This 15-year plan aims to galvanise urgent action to improve the lives of global citizens and safeguard our planet. ESG principles help organisations contribute to achieving the UN’s goals, promoting the idea that business can, and should be, a force for good. The ESGmark® certification is an important and increasingly recognised way for organisations to communicate their responsible approach to business with credibility. ESGmark® members are at the forefront of the business world’s move to a more responsible way of operating with respect to the planet and society.
